-1/3 yard of well draping fabric. (You can use old T-shirts to practice this skirt with knits. They are perfect for that.) Woven fabrics may also be used. They won’t hang quite the same way but are still cute.
-¼ yd. of coordinating fabric for optional trim and ruffle.
-12 inches of ¾ inch black or white braided elastic. (If you use fold-over elastic use 11 inches instead of 12. It has more stretch than braided elastic.)
-Thread to match your fabric/elastic

This skirt was so easy, I think it took me about 45 minutes from cut-out to hem. I made it in a white cotton with pink embroidered flowers at the hem and added a sheer overlay with pink roses on it. Finished it with a tiny ruffle at the hem line. So cute. However, AG doesn't have much of a ***, so it lays kind of flat. Next time, I think I will build in a bit of a *** roll to it or add a ruffle to the back side.
i made this with a white cotton lining (I embroidered tiny pink flowers all around the bottom edge of lining and a sheer white voile with small pink roses on it. I used pink ruffle elastic (which matched the pink on the voile). Very pretty. I plan on making it again and creating just a wee more fullness in the back and making a bum roll to go under the skirt. Fun!
I used this pattern to make a halloween skirt for my nieces 3 dolls,it was so easy to make. I added bias tape to the bottom hem to add some colour to the material I had used. This is one pattern you could add lots of super cute trims to the bottom. I will definately use this pattern again. Thanks.
