Your doll will look absolutely adorable in this beautiful summer ensemble which comprises of Pants, Blouse and Jacket.
The Cropped Leg Pants have pretty ribbon and topstitched detail up the side of the legs, front darts at the waist and closes with Zipper-style Hook and Loop tape at the back and a snap on the Waistband.
The sleeveless, high-waisted Blouse is fully lined, has a shallow scoop neckline, a Peter Pan collar and a full-gathered lace skirt. A tiny dangly bow at Center Front softens the waistline and Hook and Loop Tape closes the blouse at the back.
The fitted, hip-length Jacket is fully lined, has an open front and a cute gathered, lace-edged peplum. The elbow-length gathered sleeves have overlapping rounded cuffs which echo the rounded edges of the jacket. Tiny buttons and topstitching detail finish the cuffs.
The Jacket and Pants fronts are adorned with optional flowers and small hot-fix gems.
This relatively easy pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
Fabric Used: I used Lightweight Denim and Twill for the two Jackets and Pants, and Eyelet Lace for the Blouses. The Skirts for the Blouses were made using soft Border Lace and doubled Soft Net. The Blouses and Jackets were lined with Lightweight Cotton. The Jackets and Pants were decorated with embroidered flowers and small hot-fix Crystals.
Matching Thread; Variegated Thread for Topstitching (Optional), Erasable Marking Pen; Dress Makers’ Carbon; Teflon™ Sheet; Clear Tape; Hemostatic Clamp or Scissors-type Tweezers; Point Turner; 1” wide Fork for Bodice Bow; general sewing and embroidery supplies.
A ‘Universal Sewing Needle – 80/12’, a Walking Foot, a General Purpose Foot and a ¼” Foot are used during the sewing process.
