A sweet little dress ensemble that is just the thing for a - Church Tea. The simple sleeveless dress has a fully lined bodice and a lightly gathered skirt with two small pleat details in the front. The dress opens all the way in the back and fastens with five small buttons for easy dressing. The unlined double-breasted jacket fastens in front with four small snaps that are embellished with four decorative buttons. A scalloped hem on the bottom edge of the jacket and sleeves adds a bit of feminine appeal while the bias bound collar is the perfect place to add an exciting dash of color.

Mini Space Patches Set 2 - Machine Embroidery Design by Genniewren Designs. Does your doll want to explore the darkest...
As always, Keepers' patterns are well written, with concise instructions and clear photos to demonstrate the steps. This is a versatile pattern. I initially thought of making the dress like Melody's Easy Outfit, the lime green one with the pleats in the front. But no, I used my standard red, white and blue theme. The dress and jacket set would be appropriate for so many eras of the historical girls, but just as appropriate for a modern version. Just classic good lines. And I love the scallop details on the sleeves and hem of the jacket.
This is such a sweet little dress … I can just imagine wearing this to a spring ladies’ tea! The simple summer dress and detailed short sleeve jacket are the perfect combination. Love the details on the jacket … bias trim with a bow, scallop edging on the sleeves and hem, and decorative buttons. Nothing about the dress is really hard, but the details make it fun to sew. Instructions are well written with great pictures to follow along, and the fit is excellent.
