This is a coat I just finished, an older pattern from Crabapples, "Classic Coat." I actually stopped to get a photo of the lining just to show what the inside looks like. We often talk about the finishing of seams on the inside, but look at the detail to which the designer has gone to make the inside as beautiful as the outside. Classic!
For me it was easy to use, but difficult for my granddaughter who is a beginner. After she had finished, with some help it turned out beautiful. We picked a flannel for the coat, and a cotton print for the lining, she was so proud to have made it. I loved her coat and the pattern.
Wonderfully detailed instructions made this pattern a breeze to sew ; the end result being a truely professional looking overcoat in miniature.
