I have made the dress and really like it and the pattern. It is so helpful have step by step pictures of the sewing process. I haven’t made the corset yet .
I just made two of these dresses and they are beautiful. I chose a small print to make the dress only, and it looks fine without the corset. Looks very authentic. Pattern and instructions were overall very good. The four suggestions I would make when using it are: 1) on skirt and ruffles sew two rows of gathering stitch rather than one. 2) on ruffles sew the gather stitches in place(but don't yet gather) before hemming the ruffle. 3) when sewing gathering stitches remember to keep the beginning threads from getting caught up in the stitches. 4) do not trim the width of the Velcro as stated in step 4. It shows full width in the photo and you need it to sew it in place.
I'm currently working on the dress. The pattern and directions are very easy to follow!
All of your patterns are creative, inspirational, fairly simple to sew, just have fun with it!
I was looking for a good basic colonial gown pattern and this is it! Excellent instructions.
