This pattern, from My Sunshine Dolls, includes step by step directions and full-color photographs to make a 23" cloth doll with removable vintage look bikini swimsuit, matching mermaid tail and star headband. The swimsuit is strapless with an elastic band that attaches with hook and loop tape. The top can be made with a bow front or ruffle front. Swimsuit bottoms have a ruffle around the back. All clothing will also fit an 18" doll. There are separate cutting lines and elastic measurements for the different dolls that are noted on the pattern pieces. These dolls make great gifts for children and adults alike.

- 1 fat quarter in skin color for face, body, legs, and arms
- 1 fat quarter for bathing suit
- 1 fat quarter for bathing suit lining
- 1 fat quarter for main mermaid tail, swimsuit ruffle, and waistband
- 1 scrap fabric for bottom mermaid tail and upper tail trim
- 1 piece of felt for hair front and back
- Small piece of lightweight fusible interfacing for tail bottom
- Bulky yarn for braids
- 1 scrap piece of felt for mouth
- 1 scrap piece of felt for star
- 26” of ½” elastic for bathing suit top, suit bottom waistband and tail waistband
- 8” of ⅛” elastic for bathing suit bottom legs
- 11” of fold over elastic for headband
- Fabric marker
- Stuffing
- Thread
- Embroidery thread
- Sewing needle
- Doll needle (3 ½” to 4” long)
- Small square of ½” hook and loop tape
- Small piece of stiff interfacing for star
- Mini safety pin
