I have found that I must knit looser than most designers and the socks were way too large for an 18" doll. Definitely check your gauge, I used size 0 needles and weight 3 yarn. For me, it would have worked better if I had used a 1 or 2 weight yarn. I'll try that when I buy some 1 or 2 weight yarn. They would fit a newborn baby though and made a nice gift for a friends baby.
I will amend when I've used this lovly pattern, thank you
I like to knit but had never before knit a sock. These were my first ever socks and they knit up quickly and fit well. Not a beginner knitting pattern but if you are thinking of trying socks, I highly recommend this pattern.
