An adorable, 'girlie-girl' dress with a waistline sash which ties at the back in a pretty bow. Made from Quilter’s Cotton, the dress has a wide round-neck; a lined, fitted-to-the-waist bodice; and the option of puffy or lace flutter sleeves. The short-sleeve hem edges are pinked and finished with a little bow. The 8-gore over-skirt, also in cotton, has a pinked scalloped hem edge. Lace Anglais was used for the gathered underskirt which is edged with nylon lace trim; it has a gathered Tulle petticoat which flares the skirt and tiny bows are sewn to the underskirt between the scallops. The dress closes with hook and loop tape in back. As a variation of the dress, use pretty coordinating or ‘mix and match’ fabrics to create a gorgeous ‘peasant skirt’ with a waistband sash. This easy PDF pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
Fabric Used – Quilter’s Cotton was used for both the dress and the over-skirt; Lace Anglais was used for the underskirt on the dress, while Quilters’ Cotton was used for the skirt and waistband. Tulle was used for the petticoats for both dress and skirt. The dress bodice is lined in lightweight cotton. Sleeve and dress hem edges are pinked. The flutter cap sleeves are made from lace.

Here are pictures of my Faerie Faye Dresses
I just finished making 3 dresses from the Faerie Faye pattern using Halloween print material. The outcome is adorable and the pattern is not difficult to follow. I used my gathering foot on all sections that needed gathering. I included the 3 Halloween themed dresses and I am happy to show off the wonderful outcome of those three dresses. I am in the process of making a few Christmas designed ones now. Love Love Love the pattern.
This pattern is adorable and not difficult to make. Gathering and sewing on the tulle is a little difficult, but doable. You can also make it without the tulle. It is adorable. Cutest dress ever. I was going to send pictures, but I don’t see a way to do it. I made one with the tulle and one without, loved them both. Priscilla Burden
I bought a pattern for shoes. It has multiple ones to sew and change up to fancy or everyday. Thank you for making these patterns easy.
