Easy to use and cute as a bug. Thanks. Been looking for something easy for nightgowns and cute little dresses. This fits the bill.
Very basic, quick and easy pattern. They turn out great.
This pattern is really fun to sew. It goes together quickly and easily, so there is an (almost) instant gratification. I think it would be a great project for teaching someone how to sew, as the pattern has pretty basic cutting and construction. The step in attaching the back piece must be followed for everything to turn out correctly. So, it would be a good pattern to show someone the importance of following directions. All of that being said, I made this out of flannel from a large national fabric store. Using a cotton flannel for the sleeves made it tricky to gather to the width required. (The fabric was a bit bulky.) The binding (flannel over flannel) also seemed a bit tight over the gathered sleeve edge. I would recommend using quilting cotton (or similar) for the sleeve and binding, especially if you are new to sewing. I am sure I will use this pattern over and over again. I made three pj's with different combinations of the same two fabrics. I also like that this pattern could be a dress or shortened for a shirt. Bravo Doll Tag Clothing!
