Traditional but contemporary! This pretty dress features a lined faux-wrap bodice, optional ruffles around the neckline or shoulders, a full gathered skirt cut on a gentle bias, and a self-tie. It closes in the back with snaps or Hook and Loop Tape. Two options are given for the neckline trim: contrasting purchased trim, or a self-ruffle that is finished with easy bias edging using a Hong Kong Finish.
A brief Tutorial describing how to sew an attached lining with finished seams is also included. If this is a new technique to you, I encourage you to read it first before you begin sewing. I hope it makes a sometimes mysterious process easy to understand and apply. Finally, for those who may be new to sewing, the directions have been written comprehensively with many explanatory details. If you’re an experienced seamstress, you will probably be able to sew this dress just by reading the text-only instructions at the end of the pattern. Happy sewing!

Another great pattern from this designer. I've made several so far and each one fits perfect. Pictures and instructions are very clear. The ruffle is the perfect feminine touch
My overall experience was frustrating. There are several options and I decided to go with Option 3. I typically only print the summary of instructions since I am a fairly experienced sewer. This pattern has about 47 pages and I did not want to waste all that paper. But with all Options, the instructions take you all over the place. Option 3 started out ok with hemming the sleeve ruffles. The next step said to complete Steps T1 to T3 on page 8-9 of the Tutorial. That meant I had to go back to the computer and pull up the pattern to find pages 8-9. After completing those steps, the ruffle is attached to the bodice. Then you have to go back to steps T4-T11 (pages 9-14 of the Tutorial). That meant another trip back to the computer to pull up those pages. Then complete Steps 7-8 on page 18 of the Option 1 instructions. That meant another trip to the computer again. After overlapping the bodice , you complete steps 23-24 from Option 1 instructions. That meant another trip to the computer. It was very frustrating and sometimes confusing. The dress turned out nice but it the instructions were a PIA. This is the 2nd time I posted this review; my other review disappeared. Maybe the 2 stars??
I was so happy to test this pattern and I am so thrilled with the result. There are so many possibilities with this pattern and such clear and easy to follow directions. I am most pleased with the fit and how "girlie" the design is. This is definitely a pattern you should have for your Wellies!
