This was an easy pattern. When I saw it, I thought of a Cossack hat and made mine with brown wool, brown fur and feathers. I paired it with a leather coat and had an edgy winter look. I think the hat is a versatile pattern which could be embellished with fur trim around the bottom, or a diagonally placed plaid band, or a velvet band instead of the pop pom and it would change the look entirely.
