I've just made 3 outfits from this pattern and they turned out so well. I managed to put the arms on the wrong way around, so do beware of that - my fault. I used fleece and a t-shirt fabric for the hood lining, zips for the opening. I took their advice and tacked down the zip before sewing, also tacked the hood in place before sewing. I used a large zigzag to hold everything in place before serging all seams. So pleased with the results and my little granddaughters will love them. I hand stitched some little flowers and seed beads to the hood. A lovely pattern!
OK - my previous review is off! I reprinted the patterns to make a new outfit and discovered they printed full size this time and should sew up beautifully. My guess is I did not print to ACTUAL SIZE when printing out my first set. Thought we measured the size block but may have overlooked in my excitement to make the outfit picked out by my granddaughter! Expecting better results this time. Really cute outfit when finished.
Very easy to follow instructions. I took the advice of the pattern maker and basted many areas before machine sewing as I was using fleece which tends to slip around anyway. I also basted using a different colored thread which made it easier to spot the stitches when removing them. The finished outfit was just darling!
