elegant sari

The choli was a perfect fit for my Journey girl. I used a braid on the underskirt so I didn't put on the organza petticoat. The sari wraps over the underskirt so it still looks good. Great to have clear instructions for making and how to tie the sari.

Sari outfit

I absolutely love this top, skirt, and wrap set. I've made two of this outfit now with an extra slightly modified top. Its easy to make (I made my skirt and top out of cotton and the wrap of a gauze-type fabric) and looks wonderful. The top and skirt would be great mix and match pieces.

The sari pattern created an incredibly intricate outfit while being incredibly easy to use. The pattern printed true to size and had excellent instructions. I only wish there were more patterns with an Indian look (salwars, lehngas, kurti).

I sewed this quite awhile ago so I'm not remembering all the details of construction, but I do remember that the instructions for narrow hemming the organza pieces were very clear and worked well. I also appreciated the information that explained how to tuck and fold the sari properly.
