Cute little dress with unexpected results

I tested this pattern for the designer and found it to be a fun experience even though it was a bit different than my usual pattern choices. I began this dress with a bit of trepidation, but immediately saw the possibilities for it when I looked at the pattern pieces. The bodice has little gathers that are not immediately evident in the cover photo, but that give it a darling look when completed. The contrast collar fabric can be used for sleeve bands and ties. The two sleeve styles can be interchanged to make two different little short dresses (or long ones), and the choice of fabric can make this very dressy or a cute little day dress. This was not a difficult pattern and the instructions were very helpful. I added a small cameo and boots from a bygone age to give it an "older" look.
