Jane Dress Knitting Pattern

Jane is a classic wool sweater dress. It has an allover, wide rib pattern with a dramatic cable down the front. The main part of the bodice is worked in one piece from the top-down, the skirt in one piece from the bottom-up, then the two are joined at the waist while stitches are still live.  The Jane PDF Pattern is designed to fit the 18” American Girl or similar dolls with an 11” chest circumference.

Supplies Needed:
-Cherry Tree Hill Supersock Solids ~ 100% Merino wool; Fingering weight; 1 skein in the Blossom colorway; There are 420 yards per skein, but only approx. 225 yards are needed - something you may find useful to know if substituting yarn.
-Set of size US 1 (2.50mm) double pointed needles; A size US 1 (2.50 mm) circular needle in 24” length (or sizes required to get gauge)
-Cable needle
-Three 3/8” (9mm) buttons
-A darning needle for weaving in ends

 

Skill Level:  Intermediate - uses a variety of stitches and techniques, with mid-level finishing skills required.
