The loose Joy Dress has the A-line skirt with a frilly ruffle.
This dress gives complete freedom of movement and your doll can run, jump, whirl till she drops!
The round neckline is gathered at the front and finished with a bias tape. The neckline features a decorative cord with mini tassels which you'll make by hand from sewing thread. Long sleeves have two parts. The bottom part is gathered and has elasticized cuff. The Joy Dress closes in the back with three snaps or buttons.

- 1/3 yard light-weight fabric;
- 11 ½''(width 3/8") cotton lace;
- 8" (width ¼") elastic;
- 3 snap fasteners;
- thread to match and contrast thread for edge stitching;
- a piece of cardstock(or equivalent weight paper).

I just recently transferred the pattern to freezer paper as that is what I do with all my patterns to save the originals. I wanted to make the top first but haven't decided which fabric to use yet. I have a skirt that is cut and hems ironed; just waiting to be sewn and will do both together. I doubt I will have any problems with the pattern as the pattern looks pretty easy and the directions are very well written.
