Is your doll a Sporty Girl? Does she love her martial arts? This is a wonderful Karate Uniform for her. It is a nice fitting pattern but still fits loose enough for the doll to easily move into her Karate positions in.
The pattern includes the Jacket, Pants, two Belt options and Kick Pad. The belts can be made from fabric or you can use ribbon or strapping to complete a set.
The Kick Pad sits perfectly on her arm and hand. It is easy to do but the last part gets a little tricky which is why it is marked as intermediate.

I enjoyed sewing this outfit. It fits very nicely. I have made 2 and plan to sew more.
This is the 5th time using the pattern and I love it. Everytime I make one, someone else wants it! It's easy, a well written pattern and comes out so good. I make belts in colors to go with the little girl's rank in martial arts--like a purple belt, etc.
The pattern is very good - easy to make, fits well, looks great on doll. BUT the kickpad directions are ridiculously difficult. I made one, would never use that part of pattern again.. For the next three I made it my way. I cut 2 rectangles, sewed on the elastics, then sewed them together right sides together all but about 1 1/2 inches on one long side. Fold the four corners with seams together and stitch across each dog ear. Turn right side out, stuff, and hand sew the 1 1/2 inch opening. Easy and neat and so much faster!
It was easy to understand and sew together. The sizing was just right for an AG doll. There was nothing tricky or difficult about making any elements of the outfit.
