I made the hat today and it turned out nice. One of the steps (maybe 8) was confusing to me. I think I must have done it fairly correctly. However my hat doesn't look like the blue floral one in the picture. but looks more like the red one on the front page. I will use this pattern again as I think pill box hats are really cute.
At present I work so I do not have time to sew, but take the time to get the free patterns when I can and will sew them later when I have made my grandchildrens pyjamas. I enjoy being able to get the patterns through Pixie Faire. Regards Shirley.
I tested for this pattern and had a lot of fun making it. It was amazing seeing how it all came together into a great period outfit and all inspired by a simple picture! I love the unusual technique she uses to make the gloves more realistic on dolls without split fingers! Definitely get the jacket, but then add the sweet dress and accessories to finish the look!
