Little '50s Swing Coat 18" Doll Clothes

5   |

After I made the "Little '50s Dress" pattern, I realized that there just had to be a coat to go with it.  So after a little research and a few walks down our family's Memory Lane, I knew that it had to be a swing coat.

This doll version, designed to fit 18" American Girl® dolls, has raglan sleeves, rolled cuffs, and a single button or frog closure.  The coat is fully lined.

The PDF sewing pattern has step-by-step instructions and is chock full of supporting photos to help you create your own swing coat.  It also contains summary instructions so you can save on printer ink by printing fewer pages.

Pair this coat with the Tuscan Winter Set for a really cute outfit!

Little 50's Swing Coat

Gives basic instructions used in tailoring. Cordoroy worked well with a lining. A fun project to use a big antique button. Can't wait to try it in wool with a beret.

50's Swing Coat

This is such a fun pattern. I was so excited to see this one come out,Reminded me of when I was little. I used one of my Mom's wool skirts for my jacket. Just the right weight wool fabric. Very easy to follow instructions, love Heidi's tips when sewing too. The coat fits my dolls great. Definitely a winner in my dolls wardrobe.
