Lucky Labrador Puppy 18" Doll Pet Pattern

5   |

Lucky is a cute little Labrador puppy that’s the perfectly-sized pet for your 18 inch dolls.

Made from short pile soft cuddle plush (Minky® in the US, Shannon Cuddle 3 in the UK) this adorable little pup is so sweet you just want to hug him (or her!).

The bonus dog bed can be made from fleece or any soft stretchy fabric, e.g. fleece or stretch velvet. It has plenty of room for two puppies to share.

The Lucky Labrador Puppy pattern has been designed with novice toymakers in mind. The body has only four main pattern pieces, and the head has three main pieces.

The required techniques to finish the puppy are all explained with detailed step by step photographs inside the PDF sewing pattern.

NOTE: The finished puppy is approximately 4" (10 cm) tall and he measures approximately 7½" (19.5 cm)from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail.

I made 3 of these

I made 3 of these Lucky Labrador Puppies for my Granddaughter for Christmas. She requested one from the Sears catalogue, but they were sold out; so I got on line and found this pattern. I used some fur fabric that I had used for teddy bears. They turned out just gorgeous and Ayslin couldn't have been more thrilled. I am still in the process of making the beds.

They turned out great. Directions

They turned out great. Directions were very clear.

Fetch! How cute are these Lab puppies!

I had the honour of making a puppy and bed for Genniewren before the pattern was published. The instructions are clear, photos are a great clarifier, and the pattern pieces & construction are clever. Make a litter; you really can use scraps. Give my pink calico Dora a scritch behind the ears as you scroll through the tester photos.
