I love the way this pattern turned out on the end, though I did have a little trouble with it. I used a 1/4 seam allowance as instructed and my first bodice couldn't be turned right side out so I made it into a matching bag and made a new one using a smaller seam. When I make it again, I will also cut the rectangle for the drawstring tube a bit wider as I almost didn't get the ribbon to go through. I'm definitely going to use this pattern again soon though. It makes such a pretty dress!
I am very pleased with these dresses. I used satin for the underskirt - maybe a little ambitious for the first time using the pattern, but the top layer and bodice are in a sparkly strip and the satin looks festive. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I used narrow strips of velcro to close the bodice and skirt back seams and this has worked well. I will try to load a photo. The dolls are the other side of the world with my granddaughters at the moment!
Easy to follow directions and perfect fit! Will buy more patterns from the designer in the future!
