This is a cute and pretty easy to do (could be easier with better instructions). I've made it twice now and there are a couple of things I don't like about the pattern/instructions. First, on the pattern itself, you are instructed to place one full side on the fold when cutting. Later, in the pattern intro, separate from the rest of the instructions and not noted on the pattern piece itself, you are instructed to cut half of it where you just cut it along the fold. If you don't read the intro page and just go to the assembly instructions you will miss this entirely except that the pictures magically show that the fabric is cut there. This was confusing. Second, in one of the last steps the sewer is instructed to sew a partial seam up each side then place a buttonhole at the bottom side of each seam. No marking on the pattern indicates were the seam should be and no instructions on measurements or placement is given, so you have to figure it out yourself by measuring the doll and sort of guessing how it will work. Finally, if you follow the direction for applying the velcro closure, the back of the shirt will not be the same width as the front because of the seam allowance and then overlapping the edges with the velcro. When you go to line up the shirt for those pesky side seams, you have be careful to the divide the difference or the shirt will be lop-sided in back. You might (as I did the 2nd time around) want to extend one side of the velco closure so that you don't loose as much width in back from the overlap. I hope this is constructive criticism. The shirt pattern is still worth buying and making.
