This beautiful designer outfit features multiple layers, including:
• a long tunic underdress
• a full apron dress overskirt
• a long decorative apron
• a draped shawl covering
all of which are adorned with Nordic-inspired embroidery to accent the variety of fabrics used. Many doll clothing creators love to hand-embroider, particularly on a stunning outfit like the Salbjörg, but for those who don’t, this machine embroidery design set is custom-digitized to mimic the lovely hand embroidery as much as possible.
The design set includes sixteen designs to be stitched out in the hoop of your embroidery machine to match the actual sewing pieces of the Salbjörg sewing pattern. The decorative machine embroidery designs are sized to fit 18” dolls, but some designs may also include pattern pieces or partial outlines when appropriate, for perfect placement. (Not all pattern piece outlines are included, so you will need to purchase a copy of the PDF sewing pattern to complete the outfit shown in the cover photos.)
The sixteen designs in this set could also be used with similar 18” doll sewing patterns. For example, the dress front and sleeve designs could embellish a similar doll dress and sleeves or pants legs, jacket backs, and 18” doll accessories.
The designs are digitized to fit 4” x 4” hoops and larger, and are custom-sized to fit the actual 18” doll sewing pattern, so these designs should not be resized. Most designs will require a 5” x 5” or 5” x 7” hoop.

Fabric of choice: you may need more fabric than what is called for on the sewing pattern to hoop your pattern for machine embroidery
• New, sharp, size 11 machine embroidery needle(s) for your brand of machine
• Top quality 40-weight embroidery thread to match design colors
• 60-weight bobbin thread is recommended
• Woven water-soluble stabilizer is recommended as it can wash out and the item may be pressed, but some designs may require a tear-away or two layers of stabilizer
What You Get: Sixteen embroidery machine digitized designs in 11 file formats. You will receive an instant download zipped file that contains a folder with each of the file formats listed above. Each file format is conveniently saved in its own separate folder for easy use. You need to be able to unzip the zipped file to use it. You must have an embroidery machine and know how to transfer the file to your machine in order to use this.
