The Overskirt Package, by Karen Lorraine Design, consists of three dresses, each with a different style of overskirt. The Front-opening Overskirt outfit allows for a “petal” effect, while the Apron Overskirt contains delicate gathers along each side of the skirt. The Lace Overskirt on the other hand, lets the seamstress go all out and showcase their favourite lace. All dresses are unlined, and contain a strapless bodice (backed with a tulle facing). The possibilities that can be created with these patterns are limitless, and are particularly suited to the delicate Ever After High™ dolls.
Ever After High™ female dolls come in three sizes: tall girl (28cm), medium girl (27.25cm), and short girl (24.5cm). (There is also a giant size of 17 inches, which this pattern does not cater for.) In this pattern, the three outfits will fit all EAH dolls; however, you might want to alter the length of the skirt and overskirt depending on your preference for length.
Recommended Fabrics: Woven cottons like quilting cotton, lawn, tulle, lace.
Supplies Needed: Front-opening Overskirt
• 9 ½" (wide) x 6" (deep), woven cotton, non-stretch fabric
• 9 ½" x 3" tulle, net or similar (woven cotton, non-stretch fabric)
• Tulle remnant, about 9" x 2"
• Matching or contrasting thread
• Hook and loop tape, snap fasteners, or hook and eye closures.
Apron Overskirt
• 9 ½" (wide) x 6" (deep), woven cotton, non-stretch fabric
• 9 ½" x 3" lace or similar (woven cotton, non-stretch fabric)
• Tulle remnant, about 9" x 2"
• Matching or contrasting thread
• Hook and loop tape, snap fasteners, or hook and eye closures.
Lace Overskirt
• 9 ½" (wide) x 6" (deep), woven cotton, non-stretch fabric
• 9 ½" x 3" lace or similar (woven cotton, non-stretch fabric)
• Tulle remnant, about 9" x 2"
• (Optional) Pink Braided Lace for stole, about 7" x 1 ¾".
• Matching or contrasting thread
• Hook and loop tape, snap fasteners, or hook and eye closures.
