Oxford Square Coat - Easy, great design

I used a thicker wool suiting fabric that I thought would be too thick but tried anyway. Wow - it worked! There is a hint in the pattern intro to cut slightly larger if you want the coat front to overlap. I have found cutting thicker fabric a bit larger allows the item to still fit the doll. Had to trim and grade the seams but wool presses so well it all just worked out. The less tailored design of the coat allowed for use of this fabric as well. Just an easy pattern but looks absolutely fabulous when complete. I really enjoyed this one. Pixie Faire is such a wonderful resource. Thanks!

Oxford Square to Raincoat

Great pattern! I bought it so I could make my favorite little raincoat into a coat with raglan sleeves. So I didn't use the pattern straight out of the envelope. Instead, I put it together with another pattern to make the cutest little raincoat that went together much more easily with the raglan sleeves! Love the instructions for this coat. Just wish the right and wrong sides of the fabric used in the photos had been easier to distinguish. Overall, another winner in my book!

Oxford S quart Coat pattern

I have made both the coat and raincoat version of this pattern and found it as always easy to usE. As they are part of a Christmas present I don't yet know what my great grand daughter thinks of them but I love them.

Versatile Jacket

I used this pattern to make a raincoat. I used fabric that is intended for making diaper covers. It gave the look of waterproof fabric but with the soft drape of a woven. I fully lined it with a floral rayon. I did increase the size, to fit my older AG doll, by adding 1/4" to the seam allowances. I'm very pleased with the fit. I plan to make a sunny yellow dress to complete the outfit.

oxford square coat

I did not have to increase the size to over lap on my doll which is from the spring field collection and the generation doll from Target. The scaling was right on the pattern . The only thing I found wrong was that the sleeves were too long. But is was real cute
