These cute and cozy pajamas designed to fit 14.5 inch WellieWishers™ dolls are a fast and easy sewing project - perfect for a beginner!
The top includes a raglan sleeve design and can be made with a contrasting fabric for the front. Chiffon, silk, or even a stretch lace will also work nicely as an optional overlay as well. Using a sweatshirt or fleece knit with no overlay will make a great basic top! Binding on the neck, cuffs, and waist solve the problem of stretched out hems! This design can work well for a boy or a girl doll too.
The basic pull on pajama pants can be made from a woven non-stretch fabric like cotton or flannel. Mix and match patterns to coordinate with the top! The design goes together quickly and is easy to sew with a few straight seams and a simple elastic casing.
Create a variety of outfits with these two versatile pieces. There are so many wonderful options to play with!

The top was easy to make with some trial and error. I used a Seeger for most of my seams and needed to lengthen the sleeves about a 1/4" and widen the neckband by a 1/4". I also didn't like the back closure. I had a hard time getting the shirt on the doll with only a partial opening. I ended up remaking the sweatshirt with a full Velcro strip / opening in back and added a half inch to the length. I was happy with it in the end after my modifications. Cute pattern especially with a lace overlay. I haven't made the pants yet.
I did not use the pattern because I made a mistake. My intention was to buy a pattern for the 18" doll. My fault.
Pattern is super easy to use. I have mhde multiple pairs and they fit beautifully! Great pattern!
The pattern was extremely easy to read and understand. The pattern was a little small but with my knowledge I was able to enlarge it enough to fit the dolls perfectly.
