Too tight

After making this pattern, it did not fit an American Girl doll. Will need to adjust size if I attempt again. Also the way the sleeves are set it is very difficult to match up the seams. I am an experienced seamstress and do not recommend for beginners. Directions say you can use woven fabric. I interpreted this as not needing to be stretch. In fairness to designer, may have been my choice of non-stretch fabric may have contributed but I do not think the sleeves are wide enough at the shoulder even if you use stretch fabric. Love the look in the pictures though!

Fits tightly

The armhole opening is very tight on this top making it difficult to dress the doll. I used it for a Springfield doll which has much thinner arms than my American Girls dolls, but will re-size the pattern before sewing it again. The body is also snug and should have been drafted with more ease so that it fits without pulling over a skirt or pants.
