This beautiful dress, by Little Miss Muffett, inspired by the lavender fields of Provincial France, will be a wonderful addition to your doll’s summer wardrobe.
The dress, made from Quilters’ Cotton, has a Bodice with a fitted waistline and a rounded square, scoop neckline in both the Front and Back. An option for a higher neckline has been included. The short gathered sleeves have elastic cuffs with ruffled hems. The semi-circular Over-Skirt, which is open at the side, has a broad gathered ruffle finishing the hem edge. The Petticoat, which is also semi-circular, has a lace hem edge and continues with lace layers which show through the side split of the Over-Skirt. The Petticoat and Over- Skirt are basted together as one at the waist before being attached to the bodice. A fabric bow finishes the apex of the ruffled side split. The dress closes with Hook & Loop Tape in the Back. This easy pattern is designed to fit 18-inch soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.

I had so much fun making this little dress for my granddaughter's AG doll. The directions are well laid out and easy to understand. I didn't have the recommended eyelet lace handy, so I had to use a substitute, just some gathered lace I had around that matched well with the fabric I was using. I would highly suggest this pattern to anyone who wants a fun little party dress to add to their collection. I already have plans to make more.
Love the pattern it is modern and cute. Love the ruffles!!!
I did more than one of these outfits. Had no problems with pattern. Fits perfectly everywhere. Looks great on AG girl, and on my SA girl and ever on Our Generation girl which ha e broader shoulders. Did the one for WW too. Gorgious. Did while dress without fitting once and fitted perfect. Thanks LMM for these patterns.
Very well explained in detail, but for some reason it was to tight and did not overlap in the back opening. I made the velcro extend beyond the back opening so was able to have both back seams butt up to each other. This dress is sooooo adorable! The Halter Sun-Dress pattern fit perfectly. I love her patterns!
