Made in soft lightweight Cotton, Chiffon, or Georgette, the dress features a round-necked bodice which has a drop-waist decorated with a pretty contrasting satin belt, buckle or bow; and a gathered puff skirt with ruffled hem. The dress is fully lined and closes with hook and loop tape in back. This easy PDF pattern offers a short-sleeved or sleeveless option and is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl®.
Supplies Needed:Fabric Used – I used soft Indian Cotton, Crushed Silk and a Poly-Blend with Voile. All the dresses were lined with Lightweight Cotton.

Dress with Sleeves : Lightweight Cotton or Fabric of Choice – 20” x 36”
Sleeveless Dress : Lightweight Cotton or Fabric of Choice - 18” x 32”
Lining – to match dress fabric color : Lightweight Cotton or Lining of Choice - 12” x 15”
Notions:
hook and loop tape for Dress : 3/8” wide x 5”
Elastic for Short Sleeves : ¼” wide x 8 ½”
Ribbon or Decorative Trim for Waist : 1” wide x 14”
Decorative Bow for Waist (Optional) DIY or Purchased : 1” wide x 10”
Matching Thread, Marking Pen, Homeostatic Clamp or Scissors-type Tweezers, Point Turner, general sewing supplies. A ‘Universal Sewing Needle – 80/10’, a Walking Foot, a General Purpose Foot and a ¼” Foot are used during the sewing process.
