The Ruffled Nightgown pattern was inspired by Don Daily’s whimsical illustrations in The Nutcracker, a childhood holiday classic by E.T.A. Hoffman. The long gown has options for a shirred yoke and long or three-quarter length sleeves. The bodice is lined. Puffy sleeves and ruffles on the yoke give the gown a Victorian look. This design works well in lightweight cottons, cotton blends, as well as lightweight flannel. The ruffles can also be made from flat eyelet lace.
Don't miss the My Angie Girl Ruffled Nightgown for 14.5" dolls such as WellieWishers, also available on Pixie Faire.

I LOVED the result, but this pattern took time and patience. I first made the WelliWisher size, then made several for the 18" doll. The many gathered seams turn out well using the Ruffling Foot. I use this foot in 90% of my doll creations. A rolled hem on the shoulder ruffles & lower hem ruffle looks very nice. I also made a dress without the shoulder ruffles. Overall, a fun & rewarding project!
The pattern was easy and fit perfectly. I just finished cutting out 3 more, I like them so well. I am doing these for Christmas with a Christmas motif. Easy 5 stars on this one.
Was easy to put together and turned out very nice.
I Used Flannel for my nightgown. easy to follow instructions with options for the yoke. A girl can never have too many Nightgowns.
