The Ruffled Nightgown pattern was inspired by Don Daily’s whimsical illustrations in The Nutcracker, a childhood holiday classic by E.T.A. Hoffman. The long gown has options for a shirred yoke and long or three-quarter length sleeves. The bodice is lined. Puffy sleeves and ruffles on the yoke give the gown a Victorian look. This design works well in lightweight cottons, cotton blends, as well as lightweight flannel. The Ruffles can also be made from Flat Eyelet Lace.
This pattern is designed to fit a 14.5" WellieWishers doll, but is also available at Pixie Faire for 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Suggested Doll Gown fabrics include Cotton and blends, lightweight wovens, lightweight flannel, etc.

The ruffled nightgown pattern was very good, I had no trouble following it and it turned out beautifully.
I enjoyed this pattern, it came out so adorable but in this size flannel was a little bulky so I was careful to trim seams a lot to make it easier to work with. I will definitely make it again because to me nothing says little girl like an old fashioned long flannel nightgown.
