As the days get warmer we all think of going to the beach which means a new swimsuit. This suit is fun because you can mix and match the colors to get different looks. It is made with knit fabric that has two way stretch. The suit is a tankini top with contrasting straps and a swimsuit bottom matching the bottom layer of the top.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit a 14-14.5" dolls such as Hearts For Hearts Girls® and WellieWishers™. It is also available at Pixie Faire for 18" dolls such as American Girl®., as well as Kidz N Cats® dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: dance or swimsuit knit
Supplies Needed:
The fabric is any dance or swimsuit fabric. If you can’t find any, you can use any knit with two way stretch.
- FABRIC A - top layer 5 inches x 12 inches
- FABRIC B - middle layer 5 inches x 9 inches
- FABRIC C - bottom layer & swim suit bottom 8 inches x 12 inches
- 1/4 inch elastic - 7 inches
- matching thread, fabric marker - optional
