Simply Summer Sundress for AG & WW dolls

I made both long & short dresses in the 18" and the 14.5" sizes. The creative possibilities are endless. Make a long dress with sparkly trim for a formal dress, or a cute sundress in a colorful, summery fabric with a pretty ribbon trim. Add a little jacket or shawl and some cute sandals for a complete look. I love patterns like this which are not only quick & easy to make up, but allow for a great deal of versatility.

Cute little dress

I have made several of these for the girls in the neighborhood. Mostly I use batiks which turned out really cute. I also have the Welli Wisher pattern. I changed the neck to have Velcro rather than a tie as the little hand were having trouble tying a bow. If you are careful you can get one for each doll out of a fat quarter. I will use this again.

Great pattern, so simple to use. Granddaughter wanted some disco clothes for her dolls! I found some glitzy fabric and used the halter half of the dress, zig-zag stitched the bottom hem, hand stitched the fiddly bits of Velcro, using a buttonhole stitch to neaten the open edges. With a pair of black leggings, it really cuts the mustard!

Cute and easy to make

I've made three dresses with this pattern and each of them were very easy to make turned out quite cute. Two were in regular cotton and one was a lighter fabric. I used snaps as closures, just because I felt like it. (Tried to include a photo but I don't see a preview of it so I'm not sure if it worked)
