Pixie Faire raincoat

I made the raincoat for my granddaughter's doll for Christmas. (She lives in Alaska and she wears one all the time). The pattern was amazing and it looks adorable! I used laminated (?) fabric too'

singing in the raincoat 18"

The raincoats that I made are both very cute and easy to make. I think there is a mistake on instruction 40. My copy said wrong sides together, but it should be right sides.

Raincoat pattern

I feel this pattern has errors which could easily be corrected if several pieces were redrawn. The pattern pieces - front A and Front B do not line up. Shoulder seams do not match up. Once is slightly longer than the other. Cape piece does not match the back pattern at shoulders and sleeve edge. The collar has center back and shoulders markings which do not match either center back or shoulder. (fold the collar piece in half, matching ends and redraw the center back line) The neck line on the collar is drawn at 1/2" while the coat neckline is 1/4" I made this twice, first with fabric, then vinyl. It is a basic and really cute coat. With fabric I was able to adjust and resew. After making changes I made one in vinyl and like the results. And the binder clips they now sell for quilt binding really work well in place of glue.

Singing in the raincoat pattern

Cute raincoat. The only problem I had was the top of the sleeve marking was in the center and there were no other marks indicating front of sleeve or back. I discovered there is a difference, I really dislike ripping.
