The shape of these slippers is based on "Stokie" slippers. Stokies are toweled slippers that defy all rules of fashion, yet they are very popular in South Africa and now come in a variety of designs to suit your personality. The slippers have a nice, rounded toe piece and around the back of the foot is an elastic casing to keep the slippers on the doll’s foot.
Sleepy Slippers is a very versatile pattern with options to suit every personality! You can create plain slippers with woven fabric and prints. Want to add some fun? Create a pair of critter slippers. Included are templates to sew a mouse, monkey or bunny.
Included bonus — pattern and instructions to create a small bow.
Boy doll? These are perfect for boy dolls to wear as well!
Two assembly methods are included. Choose one that suits your style or crafting level:
- The soft sole is easy and also quick to sew and in under an hour you have a pair of slippers for your doll.
- The foam sole takes a bit more time and skill but you end up with a pair of authentic looking slippers with a firm sole.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl doll.
Recommended Fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabric such as light weight corduroy or cotton.
