Complicated!

Well, I attached pictures to show that I got through it... I've been crocheting for about five years and considered myself at least an advanced beginner... I had never done any lace crochet before and perhaps that was why it was difficult for me. Each row is different and like a puzzle to figure out. I definitely could have used more pictures, such as were provided at the beginning of the pattern. I needed them not just for the pineapple motif, but for the edges and the spaces in between the pineapples. Another, small, detail that would have helped me tremendously would have been a note about the difference between crocheting into a chain and crocheting into a chain space. I was over half-way through before I googled the right thing and figured it out! In my pics the sweater is being modeled on an AG doll. Mia is wearing a rather bulky shirt underneath, I'm afraid.

I loved this pattern - crochet in thread always looks feminine and stylish and this was an easy pattern. The instructions were clear and I had no problems with it.
