This PDF pattern, by Flossie Potter, contains instructions and full-color charts to help you create the Starry, Starry Night Doll Cardigan for your 18" doll. If you look closely at the lower portion of the sweater, you will see a fence motif with a row of houses in the background. The welcoming light is coming from their open doors under a crisp, star-filled night.
Worked from the bottom up on one circular needle, the cardigan is an easy knit for those who have experience with stranded colorwork. The sleeves are made on dpns and connect to the body at the underarm. There is a circular yoke at the top with a rolled neck edge, and the front closes with 5 tiny buttons on a crocheted edge.
This Icelandic style cardigan is sized to fit 18" dolls such as the American Girl®. Minor adjustments may be required for slimmer dolls.

-3 colors of fingering weight (2 ply) yarn or similar very light weight yarn

I recently downloaded a number of AG patterns. I have 3 granddaughters who are now collecting and playing with them. I have not yet attempted to knit any yet - knitting is not my forte! But the detail was beautiful and it is on my ever growing list of things to make!
