Ooh La La! The Suspender Skirt, by Forever 18 Inches, features realistic details for your 18" Fashionista! Features in this PDF sewing pattern include a high-waisted yoke, suspender straps, topstitching, working front and back pockets, a center-back seam, and a front closure with button detail. There are no buttonholes to give you worries: the front of the skirt closes with three snaps, and the straps attach in the back with two snaps. An easy version of the Skirt is also included for those who want a simpler project without pockets and extra seams. Another happy detail is an extra set of cutting lines provided for dolls who are on the chubbier side of the 18" doll world. Directions are provided in the pattern to help you determine the best sizing for your doll.
Finally, for those who may be new to sewing, the directions have been written comprehensively with many explanatory details. An experienced seamstress will probably be able to construct the skirts just by reading the instructions highlighted in bold text. Happy sewing!
Recommended Fabrics: Medium-weight denim, twill, quilter's cotton, or other similar fabrics. For heavier fabrics, lightweight fabrics such as lawn or batiste are recommended for the Yoke facing.
