The Sweet All Around Sundress features an 8 gore circle skirt with elastic waist and a fun criss cross tie-back closure, which results in a fit that works for both older and newer versions of 18" dolls such as American Girl®. The shorter length is fun and flirty, while the longer version is perfect for a garden party or cruise wear. When she wears this dress, she can’t help but twirl!

I just love this dress. I love that it has an elastic waist and then it ties up in the back. The fit is just perfect
The skirt is very full and drapes nicely. I used regular quilting cotton and purchased bias tape. The halter style tie is great - no hook and loop to snag the hair. Went together quickly and easily. A great summer dress for your doll!
This dress was simple to make and does not have any snaps or Velcro, so it won’t mess up the dolls’s hair. The skirt is very full and twirly! Conquer your fear of making your own matching bias tape or used packaged bias tape - either will work.
