My favorite holiday tradition is getting together with my 3 sisters and their families in one place at one time to share a holiday meal. We are so busy that it is usually the only time in the entire year when everyone manages to be there. We laugh at each others’ stories and jokes and reminisce about times and places both recent and long ago. As we grow older, these infrequent gatherings become more and more precious.
My favorite Holiday tradition is crafting gifts for my family members. I love sewing, embroidering, and using my cricut to make gifts.
My favorite holiday tradition is watching A Christmas Carol together.
My favorite Holiday tradition is baking up sugar cut out cookies an having the Grankids over to decorate them.
My favorite tradition is..Making the candy bags that my mother made when I was a child in the 1950’s. They consisted of a brown paper lunch bag with either an apple or orange and some hard Christmas candy. This was all my mother received for Christmas during the depression and it was to remind us how Christmas might sometimes only be a Christmas bag with a piece of fruit and some hard candy but it was a gift of love when it was given from a heart filled with love when my grandpa’s pockets were not filled with money.
