I shop for authentic reproduction fabric for French Fashion dolls at the Carmel Doll Shop Boutique, where they have unique notions, and trims, as well.
When I need sewing machine items, my go-to shop is Sewing Machine Plus. They have always had everything I want or need and are very nice and helpful.
I shop for fabric at Johann and sometimes at walmart, I usually get thread, ribbons, velcro at Walmart as their sewing section is usually descent (not so much with covid but usually) they have zippers but not the small separating kind (I have to go to Johann’s)
Shop for buttons at abctextiles_com on eBay for 4-6mm, 2 hole buttons. At one time they also had tiny shank buttons.
Shop at Mini-Magic Inc. (https://www.mini-magic.com) for buckles and tiny trims.
Shop for baby ricrack, lace, trims, and rosebud appliques at Home Sew.
I’ve shopped so much, my studio is crammed full of items to use to dress all the naked dolls. Now if I could only “shop” for time to get it all done…
I shop for fabrics at my local quilt stores. I shop for most of my doll patterns at Pixie Faire and notions at my local sewing machine store
I shop for most of my sewing needs at JoAnns and Hobby Lobby. Just rediscovered Home Sew and placed my first order in over 30 yrs. (Used them in the 80’s when I made Cabbage Patch doll clothes). On-line I’ve used Wawak for serger thread.
