Nothing can compare to holding a really beautifully constructed piece of clothing in your hands! Given the small scale of doll clothing, sewing doll couture specifically is an amazing canvas for these techniques, and provides a unique opportunity to workshop new methods and produce amazing art.

Day 10 Bonus: Get your fabrics organized with our custom Fabric Swatch Book PDF downlod!

Got Fabric? Here's a fun idea to make your own swatch book for future use. Get the download from the SWC Bonus section. Use it to catalog "Where to buy" fabrics as well as a "touch and feel" tool for identifying fabric types. This will help when ordering online : I've made mine from a Mood Swatch club subscription, but you can also make one using the fabrics you already have on hand.

I would like to take a class on heirloom sewing techniques. Plus how to make an heirloom outfit from start to finish. I think it would be nice to take a class on how historical dresses were sewn by hand in the time period.

I’d love to take a Pixie Faire class that shows me how to find more sewing time in my day. I have taken the Design Academy and loved it. It was so much fun to make the notebook along with the class and certainly gave me some new confidence. I have also purchased the Pattern Academy and even started the first few lessons, but for lack of time, I just have never had a chance to finish it. I’m sure I would enjoy it if only I had more time in a day.

I’d love to take a Pixie Faire class that would show me how to refine my skills to make realistic doll clothes from different time periods. The reason why I am interested in this is because I love to see dolls come to life like they just step out of a different era. It is so much fun and I think I am an advanced details person that needs extra help in this arena. I just get bored with plain clothing and love to see many details and special effects as some would put it. I love Victorian, Italian Renaissance, English Renaissance, Scandinavian, Ethnic costumes. There are so many possibilities in sewing and your doll is a blank canvas for endless creations. Happy New Year to Cinnamon and all of Pixie Faire subscribers!

MY FAVORITE PIXIE FAIRE COURSE IS Sewing with Cinnamon BECAUSE I learn new “doll-sized” techniques and short-cuts each week. Sometimes the order of construction is critical to being able to access the tiny seams, although the techniques are also transferable to garment sewing. The SWC bonuses more than pay for the classes. And because I’ve learned so much through the SWC monthly classes, I’d like to eventually take the Pattern Academy course.
