This one is a natural for me! Being adopted, imagine my surprise to find, through genealogy, that I am 99.9% UK with most of it in Scotland on both sides! A favorite cultural tradition I take part in is: wearing the plaid. I have numerous items, to add to my regular clothing, in my clan’s traditional plaid. We also enjoy attending the Highland games in McPherson, KS every summer. I think the impressive Highland costumes by Genniewren are spot on! Good show!

I love taking part in my family’s Christmas traditions. I would love to see Christmas related costumes example the Grinch, elves :)

A FAVORITE CULTURAL TRADITION I TAKE PART IN OR FIND INTERESTING IS MAKING THE TRADITIONAL FOODS.  A CULTURAL PATTERN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE WOULD BE AMISH OR MENNONITE DAILY WEAR. I HAVE A VERY DIVERSE CULTURAL HERITAGE. ONE SIDE OF MY FAMILY IS FROM ENGLAND AND SCOTLAND AND THE OTHER SIDE IS OLD ORDER MENNONITE. I HAVE STUDIED ALL OF THEM AND AM FASCINATED WITH THEIR DIFFERENCES.
