I am interested in north american First Nations pow wow ceremonies. There are dance and drum competitions all over the Canadian prairies every summer and they are magical. Highly recommended! I would love to see a pattern for a traditional girl’s pow wow dance costume.
A FAVORITE CULTURAL TRADITION I TAKE PART IN OR FIND INTERESTING IS celebrating Dublin’s midnight New Year at 5:00 pm my time at an Irish music session. A CULTURAL PATTERN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE WOULD BE a traditional Irish outfit pattern that fits A Girl For All Time.
My husband has Swedish ancestry and we used to do the Santa Lucia thing at our house. However, I have not seen any Swedish doll costumes since my daughter had Kirsten of the American Girl dolls 30 years ago. It would be fun to have some real Swedish looking costumes.
