I am Cherokee and I read and collect books about Cherokee heritage, visit Cherokee, NC, and have given demonstrations of the cultural aspects of Cherokee life at schools. I would like to see outfits for Native Americans represented.
A favorite cultural tradition is the European Christmas markets. I would love to see Pixie Faire offer patterns for traditional Middle Eastern clothes.
A favorite cultural tradition I take part in is making cookies at Christmas. My grandmother always did this when we visited. It was so much fun for everyone to decorate the cookies and take them round to our friends. There are several cultural patterns I would like to find on Pixie Faire, such as a traditional Russian dancing outfit for girls, an Irish dancing costume (as beautiful as these Scottish ones!), more Asian costumes, and Mardi Gras outfits.
I love being with my grandchildren and family for various holidays.
My favorite cultural tradition that I take part in is dance! I love to dance hula, and attend pow wows with my family. I would like to see more Hawaiian and native American patterns at pixie faire.
