A favorite cultural tradition I take part in or find interesting is anything to do with my Scotish heritage, there is a little American Indian thrown in there too, so when I find these cute doll clothes I am hooked.
A tradition that I started after my thirteen grandchildren were born was to give each family unit or individuals a sum of money when we gather at Thanksgiving. Before we gather at Christmas, they use this money to bless someone else. Before we open gifts each family reveals how they helped someone else. I never tell them the amount or how it is to be distributed so that they cannot plan ahead. It is fun to hear their stories.
I participate in a Watch Night Service at church on New Year’s Eve. These were started by the Moravians in the 1700’s. I would like to see more Japanese outfits for dolls, especially a Kendo outfit. My grandson, in Japan, takes Kendo.
I have a granddaughter who is an Irish dancer, so I attend all her performances. I would like to see cultural patterns of any outfits we haven’t seen before. Love them all.
