(A FAVORITE CULTURAL TRADITION I TAKE PART IN OR FIND INTERESTING IS )… My children highland dance. We organize a Robbie Burns Night in January (planning takes place over the holidays), the kids dance traditional highland dances. I have been hoping to make a Prince Charlie jacket for my son’s doll for a few years! Now I can just buy a pattern. Thank you!
A CULTURAL PATTERN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE WOULD BE…The Nutcracker set. Especially the Rat King. My kids were accepted into the Alberta Ballet’s production of the Nutcracker this year. One was a Toy Soldier, the other was a Cossack Rat. I would love to see a series of these outfits :)A favourite cultural tradition is making dutch doughnuts for New Year. They are time consuming but delicious and worth the effort. Now my kids are wanting these too. A cultural pattern that I’m interested in you already have in the Dutch outfits and the Aussie coat but I’d love something a bit more traditional aboriginal.
A favorite cultural tradition I take part in is to make Runzas from the recipe that my husbands Great Grandmother brought to America from Germany- YUM! (I just made some last week!) … A cultural pattern I would like to see offered at Pixie Faire would be…German peasant outfits from the 1800s.

My favourite traditional culture is Christmas because of God’s wonderful gift to us so many years ago.
