A culture I find interesting is the Irish culture historically. I’d like to see patterns of traditional clothing of both the rich, and the struggling financially.
One of my favorite cultural traditions is attending Iridh Dance Feis with my children. They are learning traditional Irish dances and compete against other students. I would love to see some more patterns for some of the dresses and vest/jackets these kids wear.
A cultural tradition our family continues each year is to attend the St.Patrick’s Day Parade in our city, and take part in all the fun activities that our offered afterwards!!!
A favourite cultural tradition we take part in is a Highland Dancing! My daughter is 8 and competes in local and state competitions. She enjoys dressing like her doll,so I was surprised and overjoyed to see this pattern! Winning 2 completed outfits would be so wonderful! A cultural pattern I would like to see at Pixie Faire is the ladies Welsh national dress, as that’s where my Mom’s mom came from.
A favorite cultural tradition I take part in is the local annual Highland Festival. I love these highland outfits! My great grandparents were from Scotland. My daughter’s father was from Finland. I’d like to see some traditional Finnish outfits on Pixie Faire.
