I had a Scottish Aunt, she was full of stories. I had a Chek grandmother. I love their accent and native dress. Both had wonderful dances.

My family isn’t Jewish, but as a Christian, I think it’s important to see where my religion comes from and traditions Jesus would have participated in! A CULTURAL PATTERN I WOULD LIKE TO SEE OFFERED AT PIXIE FAIRE WOULD BE…I would definitely love to see more military uniforms from various countries/cultures/Time periods- it’s neat to see how we’ve evolved and changed and what influences what we wear to battle

I’m kind of having a nerd brainsplosion because ethnic/folk traditional costumes are suuuper my thing!
My favourite cultural tradition to take part in has not come to pass yet since I’m not yet with the people I want to celebrate, but it will be a more traditional celebration of Yule/Winter Solstice.
I’d love to see patterns offered for folk clothing of Tunisia, Dominica/Lesser Antilles, Azerbaijan, Croatian, Iceland, India, Gambia, Namibia, Russia, Greece, and Armenia. I know that’s a lot, but items like lehangas, “kavadi caftani”, koyneks, upphluturs, the various cultural head scarves with beads and embroidery and coins are so so beautiful!
I know that a lot of that would be quite a bit of work, but even some of the traditional embroidery would be soooo great. Armenian embroidery, Zashiko, Pathani, Shevitza, any of it would be worth including on the website, honestly!
We go to Irish Festival. What a great submerging of the Irish culture. I wish I Could find the Tartan Fabrics.
