I love going to American Indian PowWows. The dress regalia is beautiful and would love to see a pattern for a beaded dress.
I would like to see traditional outfits for the different cultures in Europe, say the 1800s-1900s (before the cultural identities were being absorbed by the superpowers) My grandchildren have “Russian” ancestry which has become a label for Ukraine, Georgia, Estonia and other nations which were annexed by during the last century and a half.
it would also be nice to see representations of traditional clothing worn by different religious cultures. Jewish, Catholic, Buddist, Muslim. They wouldn’t have to be the ornate ceremonial clothing but examples of usual everyday clothing or accessories that are used to represent a sect.
My very favorite annual cultural event has been American Thanksgiving traditions. I love the opportunity to be thankful for the people’s throughout history who have risked everything to begin anew.
We are such a diverse nation in faith, ethnicity and traditions I find them all of interest, to understand why and how they are celebrated.
I would like to see historical patterns of varied nations and traditions.
A favourite cultural tradition I take part in is called first footing. This is a Scots tradition the first person through your door after midnight new year eve needs to have black hair. If no black hair then carrying a piece of coal. It brings good luck.

Caroling is a dear memory for me. Any winter outfit, basic dress and coat, of the Dickens era could be traditional as well as versatile for non-caroling attire.
